Terms and Conditions (Subject to Change)
General
I like to keep a relaxed and friendly learning environment, and if you have a problem I’m really approachable, so just let me know has soon as you can, and we will work out a solution that suits us both. Just a few ground rules, all businesses need them! And the following terms and conditions apply to lessons given by Jane Marsh. I will always be punctual, courteous and polite, behaving in a ethical and professional manner at all times. My car, will be well maintained, fully insured and fitted with dual controls.
Learner Comfort and Safety
In the learner‘s own interest you are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing, which does not restrict movement. Learners must also take note of any factors which affect their ability to drive, such as the use of medication. And inform me 48 hours prior to lesson, where possible of any problems.
Driving Licence and Eyesight
The Learner must hold a current and valid driving licence, which must be seen by me on the first lesson. The learner must also, by law, allow me to check the validity of their licence though the gov.uk website. The learner must also be able to read a number plate from 20.5 metres.
Punctuality
In their own interest learners are advised to be punctual, I will normally wait 10 minutes, before I abandon the lesson, and either full payment is forfeited from a block, or full payment is requested. There may be a very rare occasion that I am late, for example a traffic hold up, in this circumstance I will try and put the time at the end of the lesson or charge pro rata for the lesson if that is not possible.
Payments, Cancellation, and Postponement
I do ask that payment is made on the Saturday prior to lesson, when you send me your availability for the week ahead, to enable me to complete my diary on the Sunday prior to the week ahead. If a block booking is made, payment is made before the block commences, and is non-refundable. I ask for 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel a lesson, or full payment may be required, however, I will try, to reschedule the lesson for the same week, if this is possible I will just charge for the rescheduled lesson. I may need to postpone lessons myself due to weather or traffic conditions no charge will be made in these circumstances.
The Driving Test
1, Your driving test will be booked by you, after I have said you are ready and you have checked my availability. You will need to use my ADI number (324803) when booking, as this ensures I do not get double booked! In the event that two tests clash who ever has not used my ADI number will need to cancel the test.
2. Because of long test wait times, sometimes tests need to be booked before you are ready. If you do not reach the required level of test competency by the date of test, I reserve the right, in the interest of public safety to decline the use of my car, if you refuse to cancel the test.
